Capsule

Work History

Staked as a narrow, 9 km long, southeast-trending block of Howru cl (YA21413) in Jul/77 by Cyprus Anvil Mg Corp and Hudson's Bay O & GL, which performed mapping and geochem sampling in 1977-78. Quillo Res & High River Res L staked Bro cl (YB119) 3 km to the southwest in Mar/87.

Capsule Geology

The claims are underlain by Upper Cambrian to Triassic slate, sandstone and carbonate. Three types of mineralization were found: (1) narrow, copper-bearing, galena-sphalerite veins in Mississippian shale; (2) disseminated galena in sandstone; and (3) stratiform pyrite with traces of galena and sphalerite in shale.
Type (2) gave assays of up to 1% Pb + Zn over a stratigraphic interval of up to 46 m in the sandstone. One specimen assayed 10.5% Pb and 260.6 g/t Ag. The third type is generally low in grade but some silicified specimens contained up to 14% Pb + Zn.
At other locations, specimens assay up to 2.2% Cu. The Bro group is underlain by Upper Cambrian and Ordovician chlorite-muscovite quartz phyllite with scattered greenstone lenses.
