Work History
Staked as GK cl (YA19362) in Aug/77 by The Woodside Project (Getty and Welcome North), which explored with mapping and sampling in 1977 and 1978. N. Hennel staked Gladys cl (YA95242) 5 km west in Jul/86 and performed hand trenching in 1987.
Capsule Geology
Bedded barite up to 145.7 m thick occurs in a clastic sequence of Devono-Mississippian age that is overlain by green Mississippian chert and felsic volcanic rocks. The barite has been traced for 8 km along strike. Test work indicated that the barite does not meet minimum A.P.I. specifications.
