Work History

The north showing (F4) was staked as Fly cl (67925) in Sep/54 by Conwest EL, which prospected and mapped in 1955. Restaked as Don cl (75184) in Sep/60 by G. Fairclough and O. Haug.
The south showing (F6) was staked as Belle cl (70407) in May/55 by L. Combs and restaked as KO cl (77198) in Oct/61 by M. Nikon and as Rusty cl (79510) in Dec/62 by G. Fairclough. Both showings were discovered about 1961 or 1962.
Adjoining claims include Balsam & Calumet cl (69929) to the west in Nov/54 by L. Nault; surrounding Mac cl (75677) in May/61 by Dualco Synd; Tip cl (89591) to the east in Jan/66 by Ross River ML and Stump ML.
Both showings were optioned in 1963 by Ketzakey Silver ML and assigned in 1965 to Silver Key ML, which entered a joint venture with Stump ML in 1967 and was reorganized as Nordev Res L in March/74. Exploration consisted of bulldozer trenching in 1964-67 and a geochem survey in 1968.
The north showing was restaked as Rain cl (YA46835) in Nov/79 by B. Corrigan, and transferred to Canamax Res Inc in 1986. The south showing was restaked as Reo 33-40 cl (YA46927) in Feb/80 by I. Jacobsen and as Pizza cl (YA90535) in Sep/85 by Cruiser Mls L.
The Pizza group was transferred to S. Case and optioned to Cons Rio Plata Res L, which staked GP cl (YA99524) 1.6 km east in Oct/86, tied on Cop cl (YB990) to the south in Aug/87 and performed mapping and geochem sampling in 1987 and geochem surveys in 1988. The Cop & Pizza claims were transferred to Cons Rio Plata in Jun/89.

Capsule Geology

The F4 showing consists of small lenses and pods of galena with lesser amounts of sphalerite and traces of tetrahedrite. The mineralization occurs in a vein fault that strikes east and dips 85°N, in graphitic shale and black dolomite of Middle Cambrian age. It was traced in float for a length of 548.6 m. Assays of selected specimens of fairly massive galena ranged from 2228.5 to 7714.1 g/t Ag. A typical assay is 2646.8 g/t Ag, 45.2% Pb and 3.9% Zn. Trenching showed poor continuity and narrow widths.
The south showing (F6) consists of galena float assaying 4967.9 g/t Ag, 71.4% Pb and 0.17 g/t Au.
