Work History

Staked as SU cl (Y83668) in Oct/74 by Hung-Ping Chung and Calgal cl (Y84121) in May/75 by Welcome North ML, which sold part of its interest to Mackir Mg L. The SU group was optioned by Silver Standard ML, which mapped, geochem sampled and bulldozer trenched in 1975. Welcome North conducted a gravity survey and drilled one hole (167.64 m) on the SU group later in the year in a joint venture with Silver Standard, Mackir and Malabar Silver ML.
A. Diekman added Kess cl (YA11812) on previously unstaked ground about 1.5 km west of the Calgal group and E. Wedekind tied on the Dez cl (YA20218) to the east in Jun/77. Welcome North performed a gravity survey on the SU group in 1976 and 1977 and drilled 2 holes (152.4 m) in 1978. Restaked as Tint cl (YB9978) in Dec/87 by Welcome North ML, which added more claims and explored by mapping, soil sampling and magnetometer and VLF surveys. A. John tied on Pit cl (YB11967) to the east in May/88.
In Oct/94 D. Brownlee restaked the property as the DG cl 1-6(YB56208).

Capsule Geology

The SU group was staked on a geochemical anomaly underlain by black siliceous phyllite and sericitic and limonitic phyllite similar to the Cambrian Mt Mye Formation which hosts the Faro and Vangorda Plateau Pb-Zn-Ag deposits. Felsic to mafic volcanic rocks of unknown age are also present on the property. The drilling tested gravity anomalies without success. No significant anomalies were outlined by the 1988 work.
