Work History

Staked as Tom cl (70553) and Neil cl (70863) in Jun/55 by T.H. Cross, etc and optioned to Northern Mountain (1954) Prospecting Synd which mapped and hand trenched in 1955 and 1956. The adjoining Ciban cl (69226) and NMC cl (69194) were staked in Oct/54 by G. Dickson and Newkirk Mg Corp L, respectively. The Will cl (69512), staked to the east in Aug/54 by O. Butcher, were also optioned by Northern Mountain Synd.
Restaked as Reo cl 67-72 (YA46961) in Feb/80 by I. Jacobsen and as Ketza cl (YA72382) in Oct/84 by a joint venture between Quillo Res Inc and High River Res L, which performed mapping and geochem sampling in 1985. The property was optioned to Canamax Res Inc, which explored with mapping, geochem sampling, an airborne mag survey and bulldozer trenching in 1987. The claims were transferred back to Quillo and High River in Dec/89.

Capsule Geology

Lenses of galena and siderite occur in a brecciated fault zone 51.8 m wide. The fault zone strikes northeast and cuts Silurian and Devonian dolomite, quartzite and argillite. A chip sample of the best trench exposure assayed 332.6 g/t Ag, 18.2% Pb and 0.69 g/t Au over a width of 4.6 m in 1956. A grab sample of mineralized talus collected in 1985 assayed 44.4% Pb, 63.7 g/t Ag and 0.21 g/t Au.
Oxidized arsenopyrite was uncovered by trenching along the margin of a large quartz vein.
