Capsule

Work History

This is believed to be the property staked as Bill, Pelly and Keno cl (15413) in May/28 by Drury Magundy, etc and trenched in 1929 by Treadwell Yukon CL. This may also be the same vein described by the GSC in 1944.
This area was restaked in Jun/77 as part of a large block of Angie cl (YA20565) by the Woodside Project (Getty and Welcome North).

Capsule Geology

The 1928 claims were staked '16 miles south of Ross River and southeast of Lapie River' on a 'lode of silver, gold and copper.' Treadwell Yukon reported finding gold and copper in small veins near Lapie River. The vein described by the GSC is 0.3 m wide, contains some tetrahedrite and cuts shale of the Ordovician to Lower Devonian Road River Formation. A representative sample assayed 123.43 g/t Ag and 0.86 g/t Au.
At this location, 3 or 4 open cuts or adits up to 4.6 m long have been driven on a gossanous quartz shear zone up to 3.0 m wide that cuts strongly contorted and faulted shale. The workings were described as 'very old' in 1978, when no mineralization was seen.
