Work History

Staked in Aug/70 by R. McBean as Eva cl (Y58103) and in Feb/71 by A. Arsenault as Pat cl (Y60336). These were geochem sampled, mapped and hand trenched in 1971-72 and transferred to P. Quinn in Dec/72 and to Fox Mountain Rock Drilling Ltd in Jul/74.
Restaked as Eva cl (YA22874) in Jul/78 by Risby Tungsten ML, which explored with mapping, magnetometer surveys and trenching in 1979 and 1980. Restaked as Eva cl 1-6 (YB66671) by R. Berdahl in Apr/96.

Capsule Geology

Small scheelite-bearing skarn zones occur in Ordovician-Devonian black slaty shale near the contact with quartz monzonite of the Cretaceous Fox Mountain Stock. Six pyrrhotite-rich skarn zones occur over a strike length of 785 m and range from 8 to 80 m long and 0.8 to 10 m wide. Scheelite grades are generally low but selected specimens assay as high as 1.92% WO3.
