Work History

Staked as Dell, etc cl (70114) in Mar/55 by Bell Asbestos as part of a large claim block around the Ryhorchuk showing. Bell built a road to the property and bulldozer trenched in 1955. Restaked as TP, etc cl (Y36431) in Aug/69 by Cassiar Asbestos Corp L; as Copper cl (Y36451) in Aug/69 by D. Baird, who did some hand trenching in 1970; and as DDH cl (Y75402) in Apr-May/73 by D. Lampert and H. Roch, who trenched in 1974 and 1976.
Restaked as Jim Dandy cl (YA23099) in Aug/78 by R. Lacombe and fringed as Tower cl (YA23937) in Jan/79 by B.A. Copper ML, which explored with bulldozer trenching in 1979 and mapping and geochem sampling in 1981.

Capsule Geology

Rocks of two distinctly different terranes occur on the property, separated by a thrust fault. Silurian-Devonian sedimentary rocks of the Nasina Series lie to the southwest while mafic volcanic and metavolcanic rocks of the Anvil-Campbell Allochthon lie to the northeast.
Three types of mineralization have been found on the property. (1) Low-quality asbestos fibre occurs in serpentinized ultramafic rocks of the allochthon on the Jim Dandy claims. (2) A small chalcocite veinlet cuts a green volcanic rock nearby. A channel sample assayed 2.5% Cu and 1.1 ppm Ag across 20 m. (3) Disseminated pyrite, chalcopyrite and minor galena are associated with a zone of quartz veining and silicification.
