Work History
Staked as Fog Mountain cl (YA51073) in Aug/80 by Amoco Can Pet CL, which performed mapping and geochem sampling later in the year. Restaked as 8 Dab claims (YB27531) by Archer, Cathro and Associates (1981) Ltd in Jun/90. Archer Cathro prospected on the claims in 1992.
Capsule Geology
Galena and sphalerite with minor chalcopyrite, scheelite and abundant pyrite occur erratically in thin (<10 cm) manganese-rich skarns within an argillaceous limestone band in quartz-muscovite schist near a felsic dyke. Amoco's geochemical survey outlined two nearby Pb-Zn soil anomalies each about 500 m by 1000 m. Soil sample values ranged up to 3200 ppb Pb, 4050 ppm Zn and 3.6 ppm Ag. Assays of material collected by Archer, Cathro and Associates (1981) Ltd in 1992 ranged up to 1.96% Pb, 3.33% Zn, 0.72% Cu, and 23.7 g/t Ag.
