Work History

Staked as OCK cl (Y80112) in Aug/74 by G. Asuchak and G. Leverman, who bulldozer trenched in 1975 while working placer claims in the area. Restaked as Franklin cl (YA96187) in Sep/86 by A. Parker, who explored with hand pitting in 1987.

Capsule Geology

Traces of galena, sphalerite and chalcopyrite occur in quartz veins in a shear zone between Paleozoic? quartzite and volcanic rocks of the Lower Cretaceous Hutshi Group. A selected specimen of the best material assayed 1.1% Pb, 1.5% Zn, 0.3% Cu, 6.9 g/t Ag and 0.34 g/t Au.
