Work History

Staked as Glenlivet cl 1-46 (YA75077) in Sep/82 by Agip Can L, which performed mapping and geochem surveys in 1983. The claims were optioned to Kerr Addison Mines Ltd in 1984, which carried out geological mapping and geochemical rock sampling in 1985 and hand trenching, geological mapping and geochemical rock sampling in 1986.
In 1987, Pacific Trans-Ocean Res Ltd entered a joint venture with Agip and performed mapping, sampling and hand trenching later that year and additional trenching in 1988.
Skukum Gold Ltd tied on Woo cl (YA98240) to the east in Jul/87 to cover a regional multi-element silt anomaly (GSC Open File 1218) and explored with prospecting, mapping and geochemistry in 1988 and 1989. Agip and Pacific Trans Ocean trenched on the Glenlivet claims in 1989.

Capsule Geology

Volcanic rocks of the Bennett Lake Caldera Complex are cut by fault zones with clay-jarosite-pyrite alteration and quartz-galena-fluorite-calcite-malachite veins. Four general areas of interest were identified, the best of which are the Scarlett and After Eight Zones.
The Scarlett Zone is a 600 m wide red and orange gossan with numerous chalcedony stringers and quartz breccia veins. The After Eight Zone is a north-trending fault zone with patches of quartz stringers containing local concentrations of pyrite and jarosite, plus accessory galena, fluorite, calcite and malachite. The best assay came from the Scarlett Zone and returned 2.3 g/t Au, 7.4 g/t Ag and 0.1% As.
Several showings occur on the Woo claims, on which Cretaceous granodiorite and Eocene volcanic rocks are cut by quartz-feldspar porphyry ring dykes, northeast-trending rhyolite dykes, small rhyolite stocks and several major northeast and northwest-trending block faults. The Tenacious showing consists of small polymetallic quartz veins at the intersection of major faults near the south end of the property. Samples of vein material from this showing contain up to 24.2 g/t Au, 302.0 g/t Ag, 28 486 ppm Pb, 3437 ppm As, 2583 ppm Zn and 508 ppm Cu.
Northeast-trending quartz veins 30 cm wide follow the contact between silicified granite breccia and felsic tuff 375 m north of the Tenacious showing and are referred to as the Tenacious extension. Specimens returned values up to 5.7 g/t Au, 637.8 g/t Ag, 31 838 ppm As, 18 577 ppm Pb, 7769 ppm Zn and 2040 ppm Cu.
The Saddle zone lies northwest of the Tenacious showings and consists of a 20 x 50 m area of brecciated, altered rhyolite and lapilli tuff containing bornite, chalcocite, sphalerite and cerussite. Vuggy chalcedonic float from this area contains up to 5% arsenopyrite. A specimen of mineralized vein float from the Saddle zone contained 750 ppb Au, 302 g/t Ag, 21 354 ppm As, 115 ppm Cu, 1377 ppm Pb and 897 ppm Zn, and samples of the volcanic rocks contained up to 959.6 g/t Ag, 34 076 ppm Cu, 23 209 ppm Pb and 13 692 ppm Zn.
