Work History

Staked as Eview cl (YA60923) in Jun/81 by DuPont, which performed limited mapping and sampling in 1981 and 1982. The claims were transferred to CSA Mls Inc in 1984 and to Goldsearch Inc in 1985.
Restaked as Eye cl (YA92600) in Jul/85 by G. Harris, who performed mapping, geochemical sampling, geophysical surveys and hand trenching in 1986, and trenching in 1989.

Capsule Geology

Traces of galena occur in gossanous, vuggy quartz boxwork at the brecciated, faulted contact between a rhyolite plug and limestone. The gossan zone is up to 3 m wide and contains limestone and rhyolite porphyry fragments in a matrix of oxidized pyrite, galena and sphalerite. The breccia zone encloses a 1 m wide brecciated quartz vein which strikes north and dips 60° east.
The gossan zone is surrounded by a pyrite alteration halo and a 1100 m long Pb-Zn-Ag soil anomaly. Specimens taken from the gossan in 1986 returned up to 0.4% Zn, 0.3% Pb, and 41 ppm Ag but low values for other metals. A channel sample taken in 1989 across the gossanous contact returned 703.8 g/t Ag, 1.7% Pb and 1.3% Cu over 1.5 m, and a chip sample across the brecciated quartz vein assayed 185 g/t Ag, 0.8% Pb, and 0.71% Zn over 0.9 m.
