Capsule

Work History

Staked as CRO cl (YA22411) in Apr/78 by Ross Bennett JV (E & B EL, Welcome North ML, Kennco EL & Malabar Silver ML), which performed mapping, geochem and radiometric surveys later in the year.
Restaked in Jul/86 as Mac cl (YA95261) by All-North Res L and as Bug cl (YA95309) by Kerr Addison ML. All-North performed mapping and geochem sampling in 1987, while the Bug group was prospected and transferred in 1988 to the Dunvegan Syndicate.
The Bug claims lapsed in Aug/88 and were immediately restaked as Bug cl (YB20806) by Island Mg and ECL. Skukum Gold Inc. soil sampled on the Bug cl in 1989.

Capsule Geology

The 1978 claims were staked on uranium silt anomalies draining a Tertiary ring dyke of granite porphyry associated with the Bennett Lake Caldera. The ring dyke cuts Cretaceous granodiorite of the Coast Plutonic Complex. Ground surveys failed to locate a significant zone of radioactivity.
The 1986 claims were staked on high gold silt values reported in GSC Open File 1218. The 1987 work failed to confirm the original anomaly and the only mineralization discovered was a slightly anomalous (155 ppb Au and 6.2 ppm Ag) quartz vein 0.1 mm wide.
