Work History
Probably first staked about 1907 and explored with several hand trenches and a 6.1 m shaft, although the original staking records have been lost. Restaked as Joa cl (91551) in Oct/64 by L. Nault; as Pit cl (Y25157) in Jun/68 by M. Nichiporuk; as Pete cl (Y35556) in Jul/69 by P. Vanderpol; as Tony cl (Y98486) in May/75 by T. Worbetts; and as First Chance cl (YA48496) in Feb/80 by L. Vallevand.
Capsule Geology
Massive galena occurs in lenses up to 15 cm wide and disseminated with pyrite and sphalerite in a shear zone that averages 0.9 m wide and has been traced for about 30.5 m along strike. The vein occurs at the contact between a Cretaceous stock and a limestone horizon within the Jurassic-Cretaceous Laberge group. Grab samples assayed up to 346.3 g/t Ag and 1.4 g/t Au but were generally much lower.
