Capsule

Work History

Staked as Ed cl (YA70218) in Jul/83 by M. Peshke, who added BoBo cl (YA86641) in May/85, trenched in 1986, and performed trenching and road work in 1989 and 1990. B. Poulin added further Bobo claims in May/90, Jul/91, and Dec/91. The Bobo claims were transferred to Tonycastle Ltd in Jan/92 and to A. Poulin in Sep/92. They were explored with trenching later in the year. In May/94 A. Poulin carried out 6,887 m3 of trenching and road work on the Bobo claims. A. Poulin added Bobo cl 91-94 in Mar/96.

Capsule Geology

The occurrence is situated on the eastern edge of the Omineca Tectonic Belt within the Teslin suture zone. Locally, the rocks consist of metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks broadly described as actinolite-chlorite-epidote+/-biotite+/-hornblende schist, marble, and chloritic greenstone. The rocks are regionally metamorphosed under greenschist to lower amphibolite facies conditions and are intensely deformed.
The original claims were staked on rumours that silver-rich float had been found in this area. Poulin's 1994 program extended the road and trench systems on the Bobo claims. Limited regional mapping by a consultant uncovered a Cretaceous pluton and argillite, quartzite, limestone and chloritic volcanics assumed to belong to the Big Salmon Complex.
