Work History
Staked as 256 ABBA cl (YA34876) in Aug/78 by Urangesellschaft L, which explored with airborne and ground radiometric surveys, mapping and geochem sampling in 1979. A large block of MICH cl (YA36257) was added to the south in Apr/79 by Eldorado Nuclear L (Eldorado Res L), which performed mapping, radiometric and geochemical surveys later in the year.
Capsule Geology
The ABBA group was staked on coincident anomalous uranium silt values and radioactivity associated with the Cretaceous Hake Stock. Uranium values of up to 10.6 ppb in water, 5280 ppm in silt, and 900 ppm in rock were obtained. The best radioactive zone was 0.5 m wide and 65 m long. The richest rock specimen (900 ppm) also returned 4450 ppm Pb and 86 ppm Mo. Molybdenite, fluorite and hematite are associated with silicified jointing in an outcrop of red aplite.
On the MICH group, anomalous radioactivity is associated with narrow rusty fractures but no mineralization was found.
