Work History
Staked as Slouce cl (YA29271) in Jun/78 by Klinkit JV (DuPont of Can EL & Duval Corp), which conducted detailed mapping and sampling in 1978 and 1979, hand trenching in 1979 and mapping and sampling in 1980. Restaked as BT cl (YA57348) in Feb/81 by McPres MI EL and optioned to Player Pet L, which performed mapping, geochem sampling and trenching later in the year.
Restaked as Punt cl 1-30 (YB75446) by Archer, Cathro and Associates (1981) Ltd in Feb/96.
Capsule Geology
Five small skarn zones have developed over a length of 400 m within a Permo-Carboniferous limestone unit near the margin of the Cretaceous Seagull Batholith. Tourmaline-magnetite-amphibole-chalcopyrite skarn assaying up to 1.2% Sn is confined to a zone less than 0.5 m wide at the contact. Other zones consist of garnet-amphibole-axinite-calcite skarn with minor scheelite and molybdenite. Traces of sphalerite are also present.
