Work History
Staked as Red cl (Y54789) in Mar/71 by Boswell River ML, which performed only limited prospecting and sampling. Restaked as part of a large block of Elle cl (YA36153) in Apr-Aug/79 by Eldorado Nuclear L, which conducted reconnaissance ground and airborne radiometric surveys later in the year.
Restaked as TOD cl (YA68645) in Jul/82 by Hudson's Bay Mg, which explored with mapping and geochem surveys later in the year.
Capsule Geology
The Red group was staked over a well exposed, unaltered Cretaceous quartz monzonite stock which causes a strong aeromagnetic anomaly. The Eldorado staking covered anomalous uranium values from stream sediment samples collected by the GSC's Uranium Reconnaissance Program.
The TOD claims cover the contact between the intrusion and Paleozoic biotite schist containing minor garnet-diopside skarn horizons with traces of scheelite. Geochemical surveys showed weak tungsten anomalies.
