Work History

Staked as East & Alcan cl (4282) in Jul/43 by P. Rodstrom (recorded in Jul/44). Restaked as Beaver cl (89022) in Feb/65 by Duval Corp and as Owl cl (Y29332) in Jul/69 by G. Leverman, who formed a new company, Spencer Creek ML to conduct mapping in 1969 and bulldozer trenching in 1970. Restaked as Bob cl (Y93758) in Sep/75 by J. Larocque; as Cub cl (YA11763) in Nov/76 by Leverman; as Mars cl (YA28311) in Apr/78 by Rich Hill ML; as Mike cl (YA36931) in Jul/79 by B. Bailey; and as DPS cl (YA66219) in Jul/81 by D. Schellenberg. The northwest end was restaked in May/82 as CER cl (YA68335) by McDame Project (BRX Mg & Pet Corp, Eldorado Mls & Pet Corp and Highmark Res L), which performed mapping and geochem sampling later in the year.
Restaked as Jack cl (YA69999) in Apr/83 by H. Fierro, T. McCrory and J. Trace and optioned by Claymore Res L in 1985, which performed limited sampling before entering a joint venture with Pak-Man Res Inc and 2001 Res Industries L. Silver Hart ML tied on the Car cl (YA91669) to the northwest and D. Schellenberg added the Lee and STR cl (YA99401) to the east in Sep/86, while H. Hibbing staked more STR (YA99438) to the north in Oct/86. Pak-Man & 2001 performed extensive bulldozer trenching and sampling in 1987. The Lee & STR cl were transferred to First Yukon Silver Res Inc, which performed geochem sampling and trenching in 1988 and tied on Low cl (YB15764) to the southeast of the Jack in Aug/89.

Capsule Geology

Galena and minor sphalerite, chalcopyrite and scheelite occur in quartz veins cutting phyllite, schist and limestone. Six grab samples collected from different veins cutting the ridge along a length of 1.6 km averaged 130.3 g/t Ag, 4.2% Pb and 0.7% Zn across an average width of 0.7 m. The highest copper and tungsten assays were 0.9 and 0.1% respectively. Claymore reported that a 1.5 m chip sample collected in 1985 assayed 5828.4 g/t Ag.
