Work History
Staked as Anne cl (73934) in Sep/58 by P. Allen. Restaked as Ranch cl (Y54586) in Oct/70 by J. Corcoran, as Cat cl (YA529) in Aug/76 by J. Thomas, and as Jane cl (YA34776) in Aug/78 by J. Trace.
Restaked as Spencer cl (YA70632) in Oct/83 by Regional Res L, which performed mapping and geochem sampling in 1984. B. Bailey staked John cl (YA70153) on the west side in Jun/83. M. Nielsen added the DK cl (YA90594) to the east in Mar/86, while the Spencer cl were transferred to Fairfield Mls L in May/86.
Listed Ventures L tied on Lena cl (YB216) to the west in May/87 and performed trenching in 1988 and an airphoto interpretation in 1989. McCrory, Preston and Nielson also carried out an airphoto study of the DK group in 1989.
Capsule Geology
Galena and sphalerite occur in siderite veins and poddy replacement lenses in Lower Cambrian limestone and phyllite near the contact of the Cassiar Batholith. Grab samples from a zone 3.0 to 8.0 cm thick gave values of 744.7 g/t Ag, 8.0% Pb and 6.8% Zn. Air photo studies demonstrated that the known showings lie along a northwest-trending lineament.
