Capsule Geology

The occurrence is located in the southwestern portion of the Selwyn Basin. The area is underlain by Upper Devonian to Lower Mississippian marginal sedimentary rocks which have been assigned to the Earn Group. In the vicinity of the occurrence the sedimentary rocks have been intruded by the Mt. Billings Batholith, an Early Cretaceous intrusion assigned to the Anvil-Cassiar Plutonic Suite.
There is no record of assessment or other exploration work ever being filed for this occurrence. It appears that the occurrence lies near or on the eastern contact between the Mt. Billings Batholith and the underlying sedimentary rocks.
