Work History
Staked as Aup cl (YA67537) in Dec/81 by Quartz Lake Project (Kidd Creek ML), which explored with mapping and geochem surveys in 1982. The claims were staked to cover an area of tetrahedrite mineralization found but not staked in 1973. Kidd Creek changed its name to Falconbridge L in 1986.
Capsule Geology
The claims are underlain by quartz-feldspar pebble conglomerate, phyllite and fetid limestone of the Late Proterozoic or Early Cambrian Hyland Group. Tetrahedrite, enargite and sphalerite are disseminated in quartz-chlorite veins up to 20 cm wide which cut black silty to sandy limestone. Assays of tetrahedrite-rich specimens in 1973 returned only low gold and silver values.
The 1982 work was unsuccessful in locating areas with better gold and/or silver response.
