Work History
Staked as Sun cl (YA35489) in Sep/78 by Render Res L, which carried out mapping and geochem sampling in 1979. The surrounding Moon cl (YA57266) were staked in Aug/80 by a joint venture between Cyprus Anvil Mg Corp and Hudson's Bay O & G, which optioned the Sun group briefly in 1981 and performed mapping, geochem sampling and a mag survey. H.S. Aitkins and G. Stephens staked Tommy cl (YA50335) on the east side and Star cl (YA50327) 6.4 km to the southeast in Mar/80.
In Jun/96 F. Loutitt staked Fred cl 1-20 (YB84437) 7 km to the east.
Capsule Geology
A small Late Cretaceous quartz feldspar porphyry stock intrudes Late Paleozoic to Early Cambrian limestone and phyllite. Grid soil sampling outlined two moderately strong lead anomalies, one of which had an associated high zinc response. No mineralization was reported.
