Work History

Staked as Pow cl (88571) in Oct/63 by L. Popisil. Restaked as Alice cl (Y17890) in Jul/67 by H.M. Nott for Prospect Dev L, which restaked in Jul/70 as Gerda and Sonya cl (Y42481). Limited trenching was carried out in 1964, 1967 and 1970.
Restaked as North cl (Y71719) in Mar/73 by J.C. Turner, and as Queen cl (YA54813) in Jun/80 by A. Black, who performed hand trenching, mapping and sampling in 1980, 1981 and 1984 and transferred the claims to Wesgold Res Inc in 1983 and to Morengo Res Inc in 1986, which drilled in 1987 on claim Queen 20.
The Queen claims were transferred to W. Walter in Nov/88. A. Black tied on Bee cl (YB15364) in Sep/88, performed linecutting in 1989 and 1991, and sampled in 1991.

Capsule Geology

Minor galena, chalcopyrite, sphalerite, pyrite, tetrahedrite and scheelite occur as disseminations and veinlets in a 15 m wide, east-trending zone cutting Cretaceous quartz monzonite. A specimen taken from an old hand pit assayed 1.5% Cu, 3.5% Pb, 4.0% Zn, 535 g/t Ag and 0.07 g/t Au while a 3 m chip sample graded 0.4% Cu, 0.8% Pb, 0.9% Zn, 116 g/t Ag and 0.07 g/t Au. The drill holes cut weak mineralization with intense potassic and propylitic alteration and returned up to 0.5% Cu, 0.6% Pb, 1.0% Zn and 135 g/t Ag over 1.5 m.
