Work History

Staked as Molly cl 1-6 (YA35543) in Sep/78 by A. Black, and optioned in 1980 to Hillside Energy Corporation, which performed mapping in 1980 and 1981. Restaked as Jack cl 1-4 (YA70573) in Sep/83 by A. Black and transferred to Exciting Resources Ltd, which performed mapping and trench sampling in 1984 and mag and VLF-EM surveys in 1987. The Jill cl 1-4 (YB 33241) were added in Jul/90, lapsed in Aug/91 and were restaked as Paul cl 1-4 (YB34258) by A. Black in Sep/91. Black performed line cutting on the Jack and Paul claims in Sep/92 and restaked the occurrence as Paula cl 1-8 (YB35110) in Oct/92.
Placer Dome Inc staked Murray cl 1-50 (YB34563) immediately south of the Paul/Paula group in Apr/92, and performed reconnaissance prospecting and geochemical sampling.
In July/94 A. Black restaked the showing as the Donna cl 1-8 (YB51324). In Jul/96 Black drilled 1 hole (57.9 m) on Donna cl 5 (YB51328).

Capsule Geology

Molybdenite occurs with pyrite in a north-northeast trending fracture zone which cuts mid-Cretaceous granodiorite of the Mount Billings Batholith. The zone has been traced for a length of about 800 m.
Mineralization is associated with weak gypsum-chlorite-zeolite alteration. Quartz veins are up to 15 cm wide. A visual grade estimate of the best mineralization is less than 0.5% MoS2. Three samples collected in 1985 averaged 0.37 g/t Au, 0.04% MoS2 and 0.01% W.
Placer Dome explored the Murray claims for Fort Knox-style gold mineralization, but obtained disappointing results. Black filed a hand written summary of his drill hole. The hole cored granodiorite along its entire length with occasional intervals of green altered volcanics. Quartz veins and/or pyrite veinlets were common throughout the hole. Narrow pink zeolite veinlets were noted in few intersections. No assay results were filed with the report.
