Staked as RA cl (79798) by the Frances River Syndicate (Canex Aerial Exploration Ltd, Kerr Addison Mines Ltd and Newconex Canadian Exploration Ltd) in Sep/62. Only preliminary surveys were done.

The claims were staked over what proved to be a transported limonite gossan, overlying sedimentary rocks of the Mississippian Mattson Formation.
