Work History
Staked as Thor cl (YA55533) in Jul/80 by a joint venture between Welcome North ML, Malabar Silver ML and E & B EL, which explored with geochem sampling later in the year. A joint venture between SEREM L and Samim Can Inc collected heavy mineral samples from this drainage in 1982. The Kor 1-72 cl (YB35311) were staked on this and the adjacent map sheet (NTS 095D 8) in Jun/93 by A.G. Harmon, northwest of the previous claim group.
Capsule Geology
Several Late Cretaceous to Tertiary syenite plugs intrude Ordovician to Devonian shale, limestone and siltstone, and Middle Devonian limestone, dolomite and grey shale. Minor lead-zinc mineralization occurs in a limestone unit on the west side of the intrusions. Sieved silt samples from this drainage returned values up to 1500 ppm Pb, 1000 ppm Zn and 4.1 ppm Ag.
